Hate it like it who cares out of my knowledge that European trucks break more which means, more money to spend on maintance.
My point is that European trucks keeps running America whether you like it or not, more money spent on parts and maintance and more money spent on taxes. How ever you take it its good for business of these who works in a shop....

I find that American trucks brake down more than European trucks.
American trucks are cheaper and simpler to fix.
Japanese trucks are most reliable but parts are the most expensive.
The new class 8 Nissan 6x4 trucks have the European Volvo 13l engine and I-shift box.
If I was in the market for new trucks I would give them a go.

It does look a bit out of place

But first time I noticed how low American trucks are this is a 4 series and not even a Top Line + so small. How can you guys live in such a small truck?

I've a picture of my old r620 topline beside a freightliner, the 620 also has a higher mounted cab than that old 144 aswell as being topline, the freighliner is tiny beside it, you'd be surprised just how small classic style American rigs are inside, very few I can actually stand up in and moving from the seats to the bunk is a job in itself, that said we currently have nothing in Europe to compete with the big condo style cabs for room although they ride very low too

I didn't know Nissan offered Volvo driveline, Renault trucks have been transformed since they switched to Volvo ownership and drivelines, attitudes towards Renault are really changing at home because of this, alot of guys I know are giving them the serious thumbs up despite vowing never to have one again

What's breaking down on these American trucks? My 05 F/L has been virtually bulletproof. Of course it has the MBE 4000 and not that POS 14 L EGR, Detroit, but emissions trouble not withstanding, what's breaking on tense trucks?

That pos 14L egr Detroit, lol. Actually we were running those at my last gig and had no problems out of them. But the first thing the guy did when he got em was rip the egr system off of every last one of them.

Well in that case, the 14L without EGR was a motor and a half.
