Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

I've seen photos without the covers on it. Just like every other Mercedes car, over priced and ugly as all hell.

 

dont know this kind of vehicles are not very popular here, maybe now as it is just released

i have noticed that most of USA snowplow trucks have plow moved a lot from bumper, i wonder what is reason, here we try to bring it as close as possible, so it makes less force to truck in all ways.
