Do you really need such equipment?
Flat land with snow one day every 10 year? Seems like it's missing a towel to make the road dry:D

Oxbow and Cat sdp Thank this.

tow plow is one of coolest things in truck industry. however i am interesting in which conditions it can really work, i mean with 30degree angle lot of side force, how high can be snow for that?

and by design of your plows it seems that snow is lot more drier than here and equipment designed for larger speeds

    Oxbow Thanks this.

Doesn’t seem like it would be workable in deep or heavy snow......

But I don’t know.... they do not have them around here.....

here we use side wing on trucks, but it is bit different than your , it is placed between 1st and 2nd axle, there is box like attachment, it is hydraulic one no steel cables. it can achieve as much i know max. 7300mm - 24ft, so 1ft less than plow tow, but not so much cool

    Cat sdp Thanks this.

We have a few dozen days with snow every year on average. The economic damage caused by traffic jams because of the snow certainly justifies the costs of these trucks.

If ya'll had nice 4x4 pickup trucks like us a dusting of snow wouldn't slow anything down lol.

hm NL have very dense traffic, so you dont want to try, however i am wondering with so much of traffic how much more does road heat/snow melt than in normal traffic like here.

i see that more as safety thing than time.....

saw recently interesting photo of concrete pump from NL with snowplow

You should come over here with your 4x4 pickup, and try to park it somewhere :) .
My car is a 4x4, but it is the VW 4 motion system. I don't understand why VW doesn't promote that system more in the US and Canada.
