Look at that oval tank on the plow trailer..... that’s a tank full of salt brine or calcium chloride......

P.S. You can’t beat a v-plow in deep snow. But since you only get a inch at a time how would you know that.......

 

I think the main reason is that Scania use a fixed geometry turbo with a simple flap valve which can cause some backpressure.
Cummins have the VGT and can use it not only to create back-pressure, but also to increase boost pressure at the same time to give more engine braking power.

 

This engine is available since 2014 in city busses.
What confuses is thst they use cummins at all. I know for 30year co operation between them. But man now also offers d08 with scr only. Vw announced scania will make big engines in future and man small 5-9L ones

 

So that new A26 engine Internati9nal is using is ...... a Scania or MAN?
