Why don't truck stops sell wire rope cutters?

Any Home Depot sells dikes ( side cutters ).

Knipex are tops, some even carry those, a pair of Kleins or Ideals will work fine, unless your talking about a 1/2 braided steel cable. But that's like the thickness they build bridges out of.

The secret to cutting wire rope with dikes is to only nip a few wires at a time until you get through the whole bundle.

    Real question is.
Why do you want to buy them at a truckstop.

    I got this one:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00125KG9C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

So far no problems, was surprised how easy it cuts a thick wire seal.
Much better than a bolt cutter or side cutter.

I just want a pair on the truck. I'm a decent judge of tool quality. Most bolt cutters you get at truck stops are decent, for example. Most side cutters are garbage. I've literally broken the blades of two pairs of side cutters cutting 1/4 inch cables. Now I use bolt cutters for cutting cable seals.

I'll probably buy a pair and have them shipped to my home terminal. They will hold small packages for drivers.

Actually there is a record that is retained. If I bought 10K in ammo today, the police would be visiting soon. Just to take a look at it. If it is not retained by the online vendor, it will be kept at the credit card that processed it.

As far as bolt cutters, I just toss a big set into the side box from a big box store. Big enough to cut anything that they can hang onto a trailer. My favorite is the old red ball cable seals for US customs. Those are pretty tough.

There is no point in stressing about tools for break in unless you have that in plans. Any yahoo with a battery saw can cut a hole into any trailer quick enough.

Lol. We let pins and bushings sit in liquid nitrogen for an hour or more before we install them and they don't shatter. Even when we hit them with a hammer or accidently drop them. Movie magic.
