Why Truck Drivers Prefer the Cab Over a Hotel Room?

Interesting isn't it, a doctor can work 18hrs in a hospital an no government tracks them, but a truck driver can kill everyone. I just flew 1000km to buy my new truck, a 1993 K100E. I'm going back 33 years to a pre EGR, DPR, Telematic spyware etc with a motor that doesn't cost the earth to fix, nor locked into dealer repairs or parts pricing.

When Donny said were sick of being ripped off, other countries taking advantage etc, its a bit like that but to modern trucks and companies. For a small bloke a new truck by any manufacturer is just too much in price, control, and ownership during and after warranty. So making the call to go back to simpler days when things were cheaper and perhaps fairer. I know my local mechanic is $120 per hr opposed to the dealers $185 so that's a good start. This idea of telematics for efficiency I'm not so sure. I fear when companies work out how to use AI with it, things may get better in some ways, but also a lot harder and controlling in another, and the net never looses data. . As for companies flying the green flag of a brighter future, well fires, wars, defense, global shipping, planes etc are pumping more pollution than I ever will, but again a bit bored with paying for the new way of doing it.
