Will a new truck derail your backing skills as a new student?

How was he failed for racism? I failed my first try because of the pretrip test too, so did a few of the other guys I know and we're all white as flour, after you fail the first time they give you a cheat sheet that's a lot more detailed than the CDL booklet thing.

 

My company requires us to have a no restriction CDL. My first truck was an older Freightliner (standard) Now 95% of my company is automatic.and they still want a no restriction CDL incase our truck breaks down and you have to have a rental. You never know what you will be given. You can ask whatever company you go and work for if they have standard. If you can train on that to get the restriction lifted. I don't know if that restriction will hurt you. I have two sons that our drivers too One has the restriction on his and he has had no problems getting hired.

 

Sounds like your a know it all cry baby. We will all be in for a treat when you show all of us old guys how to do it.

 

Truck driving school isnt the place to learn...truck driving? Hooking to a trailer is the simple part. There's a whole mess of other stuff you need to learn to be safe.

But keep thinking that guy doesn't know his stuff.

 

Sorry, I didn't make it clear. The school we went to had racist instructors. (He was from Africa) He flunked out of the school. I didn't mean he failed the DMV CDL pre trip test because of racism.

 

And just out of curiousity, where in Tx is this school?
