I don't drive much as I'm usually an office guy, and when I do it's all under the time card exemption. Well Tuesday I am going to do a run that is 100.09 air miles. For .09 miles I'm going to do the log since i will be oversize and going thru CT and NY. Hopefully everything will go smoothly.
Will be doing a logbook for the first time

E logs.........No idea what a time.card exemption is..

Don't do the log for .09 miles, do it from when you begin the trip to when it ends.
I guess that would include the return as well.tscottme Thanks this. -
No log book needed and besides you would still only be going 100 miles not 101

No log book needed. Why put yourself at risk of any violation? Anyway sounds like a real cake walk trip. Log it then throw it away when you get back. No dot is going to check that your .09 miles over the air mile radius. Especially in NY, they just like the garbage haulers.

SHOULD you get stopped. Just tell them You're under 12 hours and 100 miles.
I just told them 12 hours at the scale 2 weeks ago. We haul to farmers so the 100 mile radius wasn't even questioned. We're allowed 150 miles.
I wouldn't even worry about that log just because you're .09 miles over. -
Plus, it's 100 air mile radius. You can drive 600 miles inside that radius and not get in trouble.
Go to Draw a circle with a radius on a map and put your address and 115 for miles. That will show if you stay inside the radius.tscottme, easytopleez33, snowwy and 1 other person Thank this. -
The day before, park the truck 1 mile closer to the destination so you can stay legal.
