Completed day 2 without major incident other than 1 lease onboarder disappearing into the night. Completed all of the training modules (did some at the hotel last night out of boredom which helped speed things along), passed my driving test and DOT inspection, and watched some younger guys on the simulator.

Started day 3, and after getting to the yard was told to head back to the hotel and check out. I've got a few things to do, but today should be the transition from orientation to being OTR again.
Lonesome Thanks this. -
They should give you a little time for some fly fishing.
otterinthewater and Vic Firth Thank this. -
So I am doing laundry day 4 since I should be in my truck and rolling in the morning (Friday). Today I was pacing the training center like a caged pitbull waiting for my truck, and at the end of the day they finally had it finished at the detailing shop. I can't complain that they wanted to make sure everything was good on the truck, but ###### am I ready to be rolling.
Lonesome, Lumper Humper and Chinatown Thank this. -
I'm sitting in the training center now wondering who this is. Lol
Air Cooled Thanks this. -
Don't sit. Don't roll. Go Fishing!

I'm 60 miles out of Effingham, got some miles in today at least. Started with a rookie mistake (yes I still make them) but got the day lined out afterwards. This 59-60mph cruising is going to take ALOT of getting used to. -

Lonesome and WesternPlains Thank this.

Turned about 450 today, won't roll much tomorrow, just enough to get last 30 miles to shipper and take me 10 before delivery. Slowly getting used to being the slowest on the road, it does have the relaxing factor of very seldom getting cut off by slower traffic
