Woman Sues Republic Services For Damages To Her Pickup Truck

Another grifter. It's an F150, dime a dozen. I literally just breezed through the classifieds and just about every 2014 (the last year of that generation F150) was $16k or less. If it's older than that well that just means it's worth even less.

She's just being greedy.

Far as I can see she was offered fair value. Just somebody wanting their 15 minutes of fame as the victim.

 

Actually I was wrong, 2008 was the last year of that generation F150. Best case scenario it's a 23 year old truck. $16k is an exceptionaly generous appraisal for a truck that old IMO. Looks like the fender wells on the box are rotted out too. Around me that truck can be bought every day for a 4 figure sum.

They paid for a rental for several weeks, which is more than enough time to get her kid to the doctor and find a replacement vehicle. They're not obligated to keep paying for her rental just because she decided to drag her feet.

And $15,000 was a very fair offer for that truck. I wouldn't have offered her that much if I were buying it.

 

It is to the lawyer, after it gets a half mil off of the maybe 1 mil settlement

 

If she had taken the $15k when they offered it then they would have cut her a check and she could have purchased a replacement vehicle before the rental coverage expired.

Her greed (wanting more than $15K) is what caused all the problems that she is now blaming on the insurance company.
