More so now that Megyn Kelly is over at her new home of MSNBC! And Tucker Carlson in her time slot has already rocketed to top spot.

It wasn't conspiracy it was a political move to make financial impact on USSR.
USSR has world largest asbestos deposits and was world largest supplier,

Yeah, I'm sure that's what happened and it had nothing to do with all the cancer. That hypothesis fails to account for the fact that while Russia might be the largest producer, they aren't the only producer. Canada was one of the leading producers in the world once upon a time. You also completely missed my point that Trump's view of regulations are questionable at best.

It's kinda sad the way the media has allowed itself to become the mouthpiece for the socialist/liberal/progressive party, quite sure $$$ played, and continues to play, a big part in it....My dad once told me, "He who spreads the first lie is difficult to dispute." It wasn't always that way though, many moons ago the media could be trusted most of the time to be impartial and report the truth as it occurred, regardless of political stance....Sure, they'd get it wrong now & then, but usually not intentionally....Sadly, those days are long gone, truth, honesty and integrity mean very little to most now, even in our industry....Even Fox spins things, but not as bad as the others...I believe very little that the media spews forth, instead one needs to seek & find the truth elsewhere....

If you watch the news you'd think we're all doomed. We're being deceived... I think business will be good. Smaller gov't and less regs should help.

To the subject of the thread, it will impact us but not right away. There are serious issues we need to bring to him, one isn't - IS NOT the ELD but rather CARB, EPA and other specific things that cost us a lot of money or prevent us from actually working. ELD issues won't go away, and I don't see it being an issue on his plate or the FMCSA plate any time this year.

    Why research it?

It is obvious to anyone who understands how it works in these cases gets it.

YOU really want to know WHY?

Because the issues were unfolding when he was reading the book to the kids but more importantly his need to be involved was limited at that moment, he had people in place to deal with it, he was being informed as it progressed and until there was enough information that he could actually make command decisions or to act as if the country was being invaded or at war HE ACTED.

What would you want, a BS 24 type of response by a guy who, like the rest of us didn't have a clue what happened and do something that could have actually caused a war or someone who was cool, contained and not going to make a rash decision?

This wasn't the case of the Soviets attacking us or NK launching a nuke, it was a limited attack and the best thing he orders that day was to ground all aircraft and get the military in the air, which I remember f-16s doing low level flybys where I was working, scaring the crap out of the people who couldn't handle things - pre-snowflake babyboomers.
