My friend took a job with a company offering this. I have seen his new truck and offer letter.

    .55 cents per Mile

    $20 per stop

    $100 per layover.

50% of medical, dental and vision premiums.

401k and profit sharing as well but I do not know the amounts yet.

Sign on bonus of $1,500 for new drivers and $3,000 for 3+ years experience paid after 90 days

    3000 – 3500 miles per week.

    No touch freight.

Not a Mega but just bought over 20 new trucks.

2019 freightliner Cascadia with TV, fridge, microwave and APU and windows in the bunk.

Would you take the job? I wondering because they may have an opening in a few months and I may take.

I second it sounding decent. Only thing I would suggest asking, and perhaps maybe you did, is if you’re paid on W2 or 1099. If it’s W2 I’d say go for it, but that’s just my opinion.

NOPE...i'd not pay half the medical benefits. this is telling me that yes, it is a small place and as a result, higher premiums. had it been a larger shop, better pricing would be available.

this also tells me that when either renewal time comes, or his account says so, he can drop the helath benefits..

for them to be at half price to you, tells me they may be not the best....as well. expect to pay higher doctor visits, meds, etc,etc....

to me, the equipment and accessorials pay are inconsequential...

if i'd have to pay out nearly 50% for insurance, what does that leave me with a weekly paycheck..???

Sound pretty good.Half of benefits Is actually about standard anymore.Although most don’t tell you that. Group policy probably less than $85 wk, wild guess. See how you friend likes it, Good Luck

I don't like the windows in the bunk. People might see me naked.
