Ok, I should know this but I forgot. I was at Moore for 7 1/2 yrs before they closed their doors 8/23.
I was also out of it for over a year but now I'm back. My question is regarding loading a 2 door Wrangler vs. a 4 door on my head rack.
Is it going to be easier to keep my height down with a two-door?

    Thanks Drivers

    Tall Mike Thanks this.

Yes, the windshield header is further "downhill" on the slope of #1. It will make the steer heavier though.

    UPDATE

    20241226_153117.jpg

I loaded this on Thursday. Like I said before, I'm new to the quick loader. I think I could have taken that jeep on the bottom in the back and just driven it on and extended that deck out further. I may have lowered my height that way. I was also wondering if I could have taken that other Jeep on the bottom and stuck it up on top. There's a couple of pockets that can be opened up there. If I could have set that down there I could have lowered the whole thing down and got my height down even more.

The two in the back are hard tied and I'm at 13'5"

    What do you think?

Been a couple years since I've run a Cottrell, but I believe you'd be lower 1 of 2 ways: Flip the back 2 and bring the center down so it's level above the belly units. Leave the flippers in the up position for roof clearance over back bottom unit, which is left at 6' overhang. That'll leave backed on top unit facing uphill to help height.

The other option which looked a bit funky but worked good on stuff with good approach angles would be 3 on top and veed down in the middle. Because the geometry of that trailer kills height on the top back if you have to leave the center of the trailer up (brings the rear crossmember forward over roof of backed on #9 instead of over its hood) I would usually go 3 on top and 2 below if I couldn't get belly flat like you have it.

    Hope that makes sense.
