Hello,
I'm a writer. A character in my latest novel is a trucker and I want to make sure I get the details right. If anyone has an interest in answering a question or two, that would be great. If not, I understand.
For starters, do truckers driving a tanker typically drive solo or in pairs?
Thanks and my best to all of you.

Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

Welcome to The Truckers Report. There are a few teams pulling tanks, but the vast majority of tanks are pulled by single drivers. If you have any more questions specifically related to tankers, you might get more views/help by posting them in the Tanker Forum:

I love it, there are several "characters" on here, pop in on some of the EOBR discu ssions or CSA and you'll find lots of personality.

Thanks, Crusty Old Dog.

What type of tanker hauling where to where?
-
A tanker carrying petrol going through Maryland. I don't know the typical routes, so any help there would be terrific. The key is that the guy has to be going through Maryland so I figured he'd be starting someplace south of that and hauling up to the New York or Boston area. But if there are any standard routes, that would be great info for me to have.

Must be doing a new fast and furious skit?
-
Nah. No Fast and Furious. Just a suspense/thriller in which a trucker is one of numerous characters.
