Can someone give me some advice on wrongful termination? I was driving teams and was provoked/physically assaulted by my driver partner. I didn't lay a hand on him but I did, however, cuss him out. (during this entire incident, the other driver was taking video with his cell phone) This driver had numerous write ups in his personnel file while I had none. We were both suspended for 2 weeks. I was terminated (I'm 58 years old) and he was permitted to return to work (he's 30 years old). Any advice would be appreciated. Already contacted an employment attorney and was told to file with EEOC (which getting an appointment with them is next to impossible!!)

I'd just try to let it slide and find a new job. It's just not worth the stress of fighting something like that.
How much experience do you have?
Do you live in South Carolina now?Opendeckin, brysol01, smokey12 and 4 others Thank this. -

Who cares just chalk it up to good riddance of that company and find one that has your back. Maybe a smaller company. Going to court is pointless unless your just looking for a free pay day or something.

A company like TCW, try to visit the terminal and apply in person. May have a better chance that way.

I'm sure there's more to the story but it's not really important at this point. Go to a driver leasing company or something similar. The Charlotte region is loaded with them. Standards are low and jobs are mostly crap - ruined companies rely on driver labor pools to supply fresh meat for a reason.roshea Thanks this. -
