WS drivers whats your 20

Sittin @ the Loves in N Las Vegas, deliver @ 5am Mon then sit and wait... 3 other W/S trks here but dont know who they are and curtains are pulled so i wont go harass them. Hopeing the wait tomorrow for a load out of here is very short

 

hometime is going bad. so i came closer than i ever wanted to losing my cdl, oddly because i refuse to drive even the slightest bit buzzed.

i went over to a friends,watched movies, drank beer. awesome. crashed on her couch. for the record we dated like 2 years ago but yeah couch no questions asked.
she has awesome but extremely overprotective parents. im in there sleeping her fat loser brother and his friend burst in there and tell me i have to leave at 130am. this is her place, she lives alone. i dont put up a fuss, i go but i kindly point out ive been drinking and i aint "going home".
i go out to my freezing ### car to wait it out till morning. 4 beers, not really even buzzed but i aint playing. i am a proffesional driver, more important i lost a good friend who chose to drink and drive. to this day i wont even drink past the point of a mellow buzz let alone drive. it is never worth it even if the chances are 1 in a million and i wont honor his memory by making the same stupid mistakes.

they come out to my car awhile later and start hassling me. i keep my cool but i got in their face. i do not mess around with this sort of thing.
so 4 cops show up. i talk to cops and dot guys all over the country, i know how to defuse a situation and i know #### well whos side they are taking. but they do point out they could just as easily give me a dui if i failed a roadside just for being IN my car.
they were cool they said i was fine but it was not ok to stay in my car all night. my options were cab, like 20 miles from home here, roach motel, or c which i chose: walk around this ghetto area drinking coffee until morning. which i went with. man was it cold!! haha

im just really disappointed, i think losing my friend to the drink is about the only thing worse than being let down by another friend this hard. could have potentially ruined everything i have worked so hard for out here, and for what?? because people i considered friends dont trust me to the point they would rather have me drive under the influence than be under the same roof as their daughter?? we will be having a nice chat tomorrow, this whole situation was beyond unacceptable and i was put in a very bad situation, and for what?? im upset shes so afraid of her parents she wouldnt even stand up for me in her own home.

had a beautiful run back her from conover. som heavy rain, but sunny and as high as 70 for the most part.
watch out for bad weather, if you passed a car in the ditch on i40 in AZ today that was a friend of mine! they are ok!

 

Sitting at SFS. There must be about 12 drivers here this morning already. At least if I don't get a load out today, I can go home for the day.

 

Yeah, the cops *could* get you for DUI while being in your car buzzed, even in the passenger seat or back seat. Stupid, yes.... but in my opinion, you were in the right. WTF were you supposed to do? I think it's rediculous that they made you wander the ghetto all night. Inexcusable. And as far as your former girlfriend, I just wouldn't communicate with her anymore unless she comes to your place or by phone. You have more control than I do. Cops would have gotten me for eviscerating her brothers and leaving them for dead that night. Kudos to you!

 

At a pull out 318 and 93 in Nevada. Had the pleasure of seeing Hiway Preacher for a few mins.

 

I don't even know where I am...
I'm in southwest Co. About 10 minutes from my drop in Cortez Co. There are 211 pieces dropping here in the morning I hope they have help, I will be good for about the first 25 and then after that I will be the inventory checker offer guy, then I go up the back. Roads of Colorado to Grand Junction for 2 stops and then take the rest of it to Denver term. Then who only knows. BNR if you are around and I have time you will have to come take me to some place to eat besides these truck stop places. Take care TD24

 

Go right and take the 318 it is brand new road and you wind up at the junction where my brother lives in Alamo, it also save you a few minutes, if you get to the pick nick tables go right up about 3 blocks to the place with 2 double wides on it and tell him his trouble making little brother sent you then he will put you to work feeding cattle and all that cowboy stuff he does everyday...

lol, I came down 318 and am right before the right turn onto 93. Would surprise the hell outta him wouldn't it?

 

Stop on in I drop in everytime I go by there, he would see the truck and think it is me! He may even offer you a meal, he is a cowboy he has never met a stranger, he thinks I'm the strangest thing he knows, he works the cows and they pay well, but I just can't see how that works out!
