Been reading articles about the EPA cracking down or will be cracking down on trucks with emissions. We all know us in COMMIEFORNIA got it in the rear with no lube. So what’s next ? Is the rest of the country to follow compliances that started here ? Or is it fleets ? All these articles are confusing, even “Freightwaves” article are difficult to understand……
WTH is the EPA doing now ?

Last I seen, nothing prior to 2010 is compliant.
It's the enforcement that is the question.
I think it'll take a decade or more for other states to adopt the same measures.
I pulled out those CA pages from the Road Atlas a while back, just too much to comply with.bzinger, Flat Earth Trucker, motocross25 and 2 others Thank this. -

I saw a video on YouTube a month or so ago that Sleepy Joe signed an executive order making tighter restrictions on commercial truck emissions by the late 2020's or early 2030's. Not sure what else can be done, I mean, today's engines are putting out cleaner air than they're sucking in in most big cities...and no mention of stricter emissions on diesel locomotives (which many train companies are subsidized by the government).

Must be a slow news day. The stuff for 2027 was signed last year, and now there’s an article about how a guy is worried about going out of business in 4 years because of it. Since it’s public knowledge that new standards will be coming into effect maybe people could use these next four years to start putting more money back for equipment replacement if they’re worried about increased cost. Or buy trucks in 2026 to offset the cost for a few years past 2027, like everyone did back in 2003 and 2007.
