I have a 2024 w900 with a cummins x15 565 hp engine with just over 235000 miles on it. So far I've had no issues whatsoever with anything engine related but recently it started acting like it was running regens more often, except I really don't think it is doin a regen. I get the higher idle, the added boost, and it only does it when the engine is not under a load, (like when I'm waiting at a stop sign, after I park somewhere it will do it for 2 minutes or so but then will idle normally) the high exhaust temperature light never comes on like it doesn't when it is normally running a regen cycle. It has no warnings or codeson the dash or that shows up on a computer. It used to do it occasionally but its getting pretty consistent now. I did do a forced regen and that didnt help. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks

Check your exhaust clamps. Ill bet one is loose or a gasket is shot and it can't do a proper regen, so it keeps trying

We had 50 T 880s with the 565 hp X 15,bumped up to 615 hp after they got 50,000 miles on them. Some of them would do that also, try to do the passive regen when stopped in traffic.Only last a few minutes.I don't know if they ever found a cause for it.We did get some bad def once in a while.

We have 2 trucks filling out of the same def tank and the other truck isnt having any issues. I cant seem to find any exhaust leaks and I dont think the filter is getting plugged because when plugged into the computer the sensors arent showing a restriction.

They had some seal problems on the top of the def tank,on quite a few of the trucks.def would get a little contamination through the bad seal.Def quality should be 32% if you can read it on your computer.

Just some food for thought, the truck I run doesn't have any emissions stuff on it. But last year the truck would randomly start idling at 1200 rpm. Turned out to be a bad alternator
