I love mine, I can throw it into what ever I drive and have a consistent connection for entertainment and news - driving some new frieghtliners lately I can't even hear 760 here in Detroit near their antenna.
The problem I have is that I subscribed to XM radio before the take over by Sirius and was under the impression that the rates wouldn't rise (according to the agreement they made with the FTC). My rates doubled and when I went to get the lifetime subscription and add a receiver, I fell over - $800 for the lifetime subscription and a three time addition/change for the receiver at $75 each time. If I wanted a fourth unit added or a fourth change, I was SOL.
Xm radio worth it?

So I decide to buy one and they have those prepay cards too now which is good I don't wanna give my credit card. Played with it in my car today. Where do you guys stick the antenna? Planning on slapping it on the dash maybe that would work.

Im thinking about selling my pioneer inno. Its the first one, made out of metal. Ones now are made out of plastic. You can carry it outside and listen to xm
-
Keep the inno. It's best radio out there for features tune select is a biggie. Let's me know when my favorites are playing. FYI as of Jan rates went up again. It really sucks because I have to pay extra for just nascar on XM. Just image hoe much less it would be if they didn't they have stern.

My company provides it so I do use it, but I wouldn't buy it myself. Too much repetition, too many ads, & no way to "skip" to the next song...
With unlimited verizon data, I can stream music/news most anywhere inside the US. Add in the ipods & an ever-rotating assortment of audiobooks from libraries back home & I'm really set for audio...DoneYourWay and Roadmedic Thank this. -
double yellow Thanks this.

I liked my Sirius but I bought a new radio that had XM and I dropped in in less than one day .

Sirius lifetime subscription ($500) back when Howard moved over...... The only way to fly.

too many ads that give their darn phone number three to four times in a row.I just turn it off or change the station by the second time they say it. I do like Mike Church in the early mornings. But the music channels I listen to repeat the same ol songs over and over. I wished they had more variety.
double yellow Thanks this. -
Would rather have my sirius back cause XM does some really stupid stuff and the reception doesn't seem to be quite as good. Having said that, my Sirius broke, XM comes in this truck and it is what it is.
After my 1st trip thru NW Tx, the panhandle of OK, and especially the SW corner of CO, where all I could get was an old style C&W station or a religious station....... well, any kind of satellite is a god send.
