On a serious note in another few years I hope to have enough put back from retirement checks to make a good down payment and I have an open end loan almost paid off to cover every thing else.

Why would I be jealous of you? I don't usually measure myself against others because I'm content with the situation I've built for myself. If I took out the company profit all as payroll last year I'd have paid myself 91,000 on just over 100,000 miles. I decided to take 75 as driver pay and left 16 in my company. Why should I be jealous of company drivers again? Because they get a new truck every few years?

Who wants to drive trucks made so cheaply that they have to be switched out every few years? I like a rig thats still driving like new 20 years after its build date.

My old freightliner is just as rattley as the day it was made. 15 years and still ticking. I'm going to have to take it out back and shoot it someday to have a good excuse to buy a new 389.

But you're a Canadian, with the exchange rate, you only drove 70,000 miles
