Yellow-Roadway consolidation unlikely to be felt here, trucking company says

An 18-month plan that trucking giant YRC Worldwide announced today to merge its Yellow and Roadway brands probably will not mean fewer jobs in Northeast Ohio or fewer facilities here, a top executive said.
The Overland Park, Kan., freight transport operation said it expects to report a third-quarter loss, the result of a weak economy in the United States that has reduced trucking industry volume and prices.
