I replaced the solenoid. It had no air coming out of it and the wire was broke. Now I have the new one on and still no air coming out of it right at the solenoid. No juice coming out of the plug either. I don't know if it supposed have juice at the plug constantly or just when the fan kicks on. Can anyone tell what would cause this problem? I am getting to the solenoid just not out of it. Brand new solenoid on it now. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Does the fan turn free with air going to sol. and not to fan? with eng. on and fan switch on ck. if ele. switch on sol. has 12V. then does fan have air going to it?

Check the voltage reads on the leads to the solenoid and come back with the readings. I had a similar problem on a company vehicle not too long ago, that turned out to be a simple loose wire. Power should be consistent to the unit, not on/off. ECM has nothing to do with activating, that's all thermostat based and it will automatically feed power to the clutch in order to activate it.

You probably have a break in the line somewhere. It's a PITA- but once you find it, it's an easy fix.
