I'm a former OTR flatbedder who always thought that diesel getting in your blood was romantic nonsense. Three years out of it---and the Groundhog Day boredom of a "normal" job---has convinced me it's not. I miss the travel, and the feeling of accomplishment that handling big & dangerous machinery well brings. In short, I think I'd rather live a life of highs and lows than a flatline one where the most exciting thing that ever happens is the wheel breaking off my desk chair.
So, I thought I'd cruise the boards to see what has changed since I left the life.
Be safe, all.
