So has any one here tried to get fired but their company wont do it.

Yall aint gonna believe this S#%! i been trying to get fired two weeks showing up hours late and i even skipped an entire day no call no show along with calling out three days in a row, I ask my supervisor today what gives ive broken about 100 rules why am i still employed he says oh i've been covering your tracks from upper management i do not wanna have to replace you..

Imagine his disappointment when i told him im officially giving my resignation notice in the morning and friday is my last day.

 

Why would you want to GET fired? If your gonna quit just quit. Getting fired is bad for your work record. It's also not ever a good idea to burn bridges..Just my 2 cent

 

Yup never know when having that good reference and leaving on good terms might help you out in the future. I try to never burn bridges.

 

Will you be abandoning your truck in Florida? Seems to be a popular place with all the bobtail trains I see heading north.

I can always get a good reference from them i have 7 managers 5 of them know im leaving and would be the people to give a reference. However its the last two that concern me.

Id rather work at Mcdonalds than ho back and work for sysco im laying TNT on that bridge. I told them i was leaving but getting up at 2am is something i just dont feel like doing bills are paid til the 20th of september im really just going in to keep myself occupied even tho i dont need or want to.

 

If you don't want to work just quit now that's still better than being fired. I understand if you're unhappy but no reason to tarnish your record with a firing

 

I gave notice anyway so thats done, i'm just in total shock how desperate for drivers they are they will let us get away with anything
