Let's do some math: WWII ended in 1945. Say that dude joined up at 15(which is unlikely but possible, guys lied about their ages to join up and recruiters often turned a blind eye). His DOB would be in 1930. Add in basic, combat, being wounded, healing up and all that, and he must have been a very well-preserved 100!! :D

Wouldn’t that make him 91 now?

I don't hang out at lunch counters or listen to ######## if I can help it but if one wants to git their fill of it just going into the politics section of dis forum they won't be disappointed. #### me but the mods have my sympathy for reading that ######## and sorting it through and leaving it on here without being nasty about it.
Kudos y'all mods I woulda lost it a long time ago.

He'd be 91 if he joined at 15 on the last day of WWII, leaving no time for any of the other stuff to happen.

310 miles so he would have to average 77.5 mph. Don't remember that particular story but know X1's gift for exaggeration he was probably at least 80,000 lbs. I do remember that the others members really called him out on that one. He surely had some tall ones and I do miss them at times.

I'll have to hit the archives and check out some of X1's posts. I love these kind of stories. That is why I started the thread. Kind of a light hearted escape from the BS going on all around us daily!

That's why we have the Politics section. With the way things are the members need some place to blow off steam. It keeps all that political garbage...along with the arguing and name calling...out of the main forum.
Most of it is the same old stuff over and over again. It's almost like it's scripted. Plus, it's boring. And kinda sad.
