First choice is is somewhere that has a shower, preferably free. This would consist of TA/Petro or Pilot/J, where I have shower credits. There aren't enough Love's in the areas that I run to make it worthwhile to collect credits there. I stop and fuel in 50 gallon increments to maximize my shower credits.

Next in line would be a place that has a 24 hour bathroom available. If I can park there and they have a bathroom I can use, then I'm there. Places like rest areas, Lowe's, Wal-Mart, Kangaroo, etc.

Next would be the shipper or receiver at or near the dock. Some have 24 hour bathrooms available.

Last resort would be a highway on-ramp. Haven't had to use that option yet.

Never a scale house, never a rest area that doubles as a scale house, and never a rest area adjacent to a scale house.

I also have a secret location at JFK that I use if I need to be in NYC overnight to avoid extra tolls / traffic, etc. It's a 24 hour air freight operation, so the shipping counter and bathrooms are open 24/7. They have one dock plate that doesn't work, so they never use that dock door for anything. I just back up to it and everyone's happy. No stores within walking distance, but I carry a week's worth of food so everything's good! :)

I do the same thing with 51 gallon purchases for additional showers. Would be nice if they'd give 1 shower per 50 gallons, so a fill up would get 3-4 showers.

I agree, although I don't mind stopping every 3-4 hours to get to the bathroom and walk a bit. It works out pretty well.

I have gotten two showers for putting on 150 gallons of fuel.

If you get 45 gallons at the Hook, you will get a shower too.

At 35 gallons, they'll give you a half shower credit.

My feelings exactly. The large KY coops are about the only weigh stations I will park at. Never had a problem. Riff-raff stays away, too.

Florida has a similar setup at some of theirs. I never hesitate to park at one if need be.
