So your saying that there are NO trucks out there running for less then $2 a mile and making a profit?? Jesus, who or what do you guys haul for? I agree that I like to average $2 a mile, but to say that you can't make a profit for running for less is flat out ridiculous !!!

You guys must be regional and only seeing 1500-2000 miles a week, that must be why you have to make those HIGH dollar rates on EVERY mile!!

 

$2 isn't HIGH dollar . Yup , I have a life . I rarely see 3,000 miles a week and make a better living than people running all over the country pushing the 70 hours for $1.78 a mile (INCLUDING FSC ? ) .

 

1.78........people who think thats a great rates are part of the reason rates stay down. Why would a shipper pay $2 plus fuel if they know someone will take it for alot less?

 

OP I am sorry that this happened to you. Disregard the lynch mob,,,,,, we live and learn. Please keep us updated.

The best way to help him and protect his shipments is to advise him to choose carriers by their reputation and professionalism , not by the cheapest rate .
Now how would you help him ?

 

I think he probably realizes that by now. Rubbing his nose in it just didn't seem like a good idea, he was just victimized by a crime.

Of course I am known to be overly compassionate according to my wife I hate to see people hurt. Sometimes a real downfall for me.

 

Have some compassion for people trying to make a decent living providing proper service hurt by shippers trying to find the cheapest rate and the "carriers" running for substandard rates .
The shipper victimized himself by robbing professionals of a decent rate .

 

So 7 people have to dunk the guy, and the guy trying to help him, in boiling oil.

Right, ok Ill be happy to absorb it though, id rather people take it out on me so this poor guy can recoup. After all, I am a CRE driver

 

I hope you're done with U-Ship and paying those cheap rates . You get the level of service you pay for .
