Your physical will only reflect medications you take when the physical is given. It does not reflect any medications you start taking after it is given. Therefore, they would not match the form.

Roadmedic, all the companies that I know require you tell them of any new prescribed medication. Not tell your company of any new medical changes will exempt them of a lot of legal responsibility.

I was not talking about the companies. I was talking about the DOT Physical.

As far as companies, not one of the companies I have ever worked at ever required me to update them on the medications that I took. This includes Landstar. The requirement on medications is that you are to have a valid prescription. As far as their legal responsibility, it would not be reduced.

It stinks that we can't take certain things. Before i started driving i was taking vicodin.. Not often at all maybe a half of one a week, sometimes less. A prescription would last me all year and then some.

Now i'm stuck dealing with Tylenol, because i don't want anything to show up in my system, even if i do take it during my time off. That being said, i'm afraid to ever even bring it up out of fear of being disqualified.. So i just don't take anything anymore, cept tylenol sometimes.

The effed up part is some people just can't be trusted to take things -only- during their breaks / time off. So it trickles down to us trustworthy folks. ;) And even though nothing i've ever taken has inhibited my ability OR made me drowsy, good luck getting a doctor to risk okaying it.

Tell me about it....I was sent home during orientation from a great job because of a prescription.

Last week on the cb, some guy was bragging about taking oxycotin (sp) like candy and a host of recreational stuff. (I was pisssed).

What ##### me about this situation is that you can drink all you want, but as long as there is 8 hours after before you start driving.. You're fine.. And yet drugs that are only in your system / last for 4 hours or even less aren't allowed.

It's all legal ####, and it pisses me off. Some of us don't abuse things, some of us are responsible with it, but we have to suffer for all the dummies out there! =P

you have to understand that drugs also have unforseen side effects on people. antibiotics knock me out. sleeping pills dont phase me.

unless the drug is psychotropic or sleep inducing, theyve got no more reason to hold it over your head then someone with high blood pressure medication, or an inhaler for that matter.

tell them youre taking it to quit smoking if nothing else.

I would keep it to yourself. I had a doctor not want to issue a med card without a note from a doc saying I was not depressed and going to kill myself or anyone else. I use it for anxiety

  10. I agree w/ Markk9.
On your app there is a space to list "ALL" Med's U are taking.
