GVWR 80 Decal

    Is GVWR Decal [80] mandatory in all states? Or it depends in which state you register your truck?

    As far as I know it’s handy to have on the side of your truck among other things but not mandatory in any specific state as federal regulations go.
    The feds are the lead agency and make the rules on interstate regulations.

    Not for trucks running interstate, They go by the federal regs.

    For trucks running intrastate it will depend on the particular state they are in.

    Never had a gvw weight decal on my truck in 40 plus years, they haven’t busted me yet.

    That is a California registration sticker.
    You will only see that on trucks with California plates.
