Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

So we have use of the USX yard in Irving, TX. Think I'll ask if them if we can nap on that yard too when I drop this box down there tomorrow.

 

Spent many of nights there overnight.

 

Chinese dude checking ppl in here at this shipper in Carson, CA dressed like a doctor. They taking driver's temperature too and if you are 100.4 degrees or higher get turned away.

 

Talked with Trish again looks like I'll have another couple weeks to wait for a trainer. Not a big deal I'm working just ready to get something new going hopefully everything works out.

 

Lol. Hate to say this, but I got a call from the powers to be about taking on a trainee. I told them no. After explaining to them that I’ve worked very hard to protect myself and my truck from picking up this Coronavirus, putting another human in the truck with me now doubles my chances of getting infected. I told them to get back in touch with me after the first of the year. I ended the conversation by letting them know I’m having a blast driving solo.

 

I kinda figured on that being atleast part of it. Understandable too.

 

Stay in touch with Trish. Just because I am doing it the best for me, we have a bunch of other trainers still training. And, you never know, a trainee might vacate a truck and have an opening.

 

Yeah supposed to talk again on Monday after she talks to trainer manager I think she said to see who will be free coming up soon

 

There you go. I’m sure it’ll be less then 2 weeks.

 

Maybe a second set of sheets and pillows to leave at home?. Just spitballing here.
