Customer service with these kind of issues was always a pain with diesel pickups, and from what I read here, even PDI can be a hassle to deal with unless you're talkling with Haney.

Well, they were very easy to deal with. Justin even told me to run the MBN tune for a few weeks and then he will send me a tune for a 6nz motor and I can run it and see which I like better :)

They told me I can go ahead and put the 6NZ tune into the truck, I just want to make sure to plug off the waste gate and eventually get a different turbo as mine will work for a while but to be safe I would want to upgrade it when I could.

So I am tempted to just throw the 6NZ tune into the truck and go with that and see how it does. He said it will run cooler and perform much better than the MBN tune???

Plug off the wastegate or you will have a low boost condition with a 6NZ file and the MBN wastegate actuator assembly/system. You'll have to upgrade the turbo within a 6 month to one year period, otherwise you'll take a chance at it exploding. I've had a few customers lose them sooner than this, but they are working the truck hard most of the time and pushing the turbo harder than a standard OTR truck.

If they can get the 6NZ file in to the MBN programmed ECM with the BD downloader .................take it

You really need to get a pyro on your truck for a baseline so you know what happens as you do upgrades. Not beating up on you but that should have been the first upgrade imo.

Yes I know, and I have one on order, along with a new S-pipe to install it into as my current S-pipe has the spot, but the plug is solidly rusted into it!!!

Issue is inside ET you need to do a copy config minus the injector timing and codes.

Guess it doesn't matter that this issue was posted in 2011. Maybe look for older post o_O;):)

I’m just offering advice for people that run into the same issues.
