Hello! Does anyone know of work for a two axle semi truck in the Los Angeles and surrounding cities. Looking to pull doubles or something similar (sand, gravel, dirt etc.) Thanks

You might get some hits, posted in the 'classifieds' or 'hotshot' section. These O/O's are on a bit different of a page than you, good sir.

    Wish you well.

If you are looking for an opportunity to put a single axle truck to work I suggest talking to you local Fedex or UPS people. Where I live near Dallas, TX there are always owner operators with Fedex/UPS contracts that are looking for someone to drive their trucks or pull their trailers. In my area most of these types of ads are listed on Craigslist. Try and think of all of the companies that pull doubles and call every single one of them.

Question? What kind of work have you been doing with your truck? What kind of trailer have you been pulling?

I've seen fedex and Ups trucks pulling doubles with a single axle day cab like mine, but they're all company trucks. I'll definitely look into it though. I'm working for a guy that has a few trucks and we only haul Petcoke (double bottom dump trailers) out of oil refineries. I'm looking to purchase my own truck. Thanks for the tips.

Most LTL carriers have single screw daycabs, as does my company (yet we have many twin screw, as mine is.) All are company owned, in my venue....and I believe the ones you mentioned and the LTL's as well.

Wish you well on your venture, good sir. Keep us posted~! :)
