Glad to see you're underway! That is totally off the charts! I get my trailer tomorrow and take the whole rig to get a switch put in the cab that will allow me to dump the air from either axle. Trailer's already wired. I'll deadhead back home, only about 60 miles. Hope to have the maiden voyage next week, nothing big or far, just a shake-down run or two before I hit it hard. Here's a couple other trailer pictures:
Yes. I wanted to be able to run all 48 for few years before upgrading. And yes it is a MBN, but felt better choice than ACERT. Just didn't find the right shaker or I'd be running a Detroit.
It's a good engine if you have the 12.7. This #### engine of ours is the 6nz i like the CAT alot better. We had a problem yesterday a sensor screwed up and the truck was throwing a code my dad just kept going if it was a detriot i think we'd be calling a wrecker.
The Detroit's will keep going unless it is coded to cause severe engine damage. They just derate the power and limit rpm's to around 1500. Just have to limp in. All the mfgrs have and will have problems with all this rushed engineering. Heard and spoke many of the same things when emissions started on with cars. I remember when unleaded and catalytic converters started.
Yea i like the detriot and all it's a bit slow at 470hp. But this one is quick at 475 goes up hills like nothing.
