Yeah, for sure. If I was a single operator I’m sure I would use every gray area to the fullest extent. My operation as it is just can’t take any risks. Maybe I’m naive, but I feel like it takes just one situation to completely flip an operation on its head.

We haul a good amount of medical and rarely use the exemption. However, I’m not saying anyone is doing it wrong because there is a lot to be interpreted.

If you do your paper correctly, it could even be argued that paper brings on less risk to a single operator.

Yeah I always said ELD is great for fleets. Management-wise it really is. I get that. It streamlines and simplifies a lot. Eliminates sloppiness, for the most part, in compliance too.

I've used ELD since I started driving so I'm use to it. Before becoming an O/O, I worked a year for a company that used paper, and all I got out of it was an excuse to cheat the system and for my employer to work me harder and more hours. I'll stick with ELD thank you very much.

Figured I'd keep you all updated. This morning I woke up early again, can't help it, it's my Circadian Rhythm at work. Any who, I discovered my wife baked a tangy lemon cheesecake last night from a Martha Stewart Recipe.

It went well with my coffee...

Did you all know that Martha Stewart went to jail for breaking the law? Well, it's true. However, to my knowledge, she never advocating doing so on the Interwebs though.

She sure came up with some delicious cheesecake recipes when she was behind bars breaking big rocks into little rocks though ;-)

Another good feeling this morning, every file filed. Every bill paid. Every upcoming load for next week invoiced.

    Zero accounts payable(s).

My little grandson who spent the night with us, informed me when he woke up this morning, "grandpa, I didn't even pee in my diaper last night!" Priceless!

I can only imagine Scooter coming to TTR in many years, verging on 100 years old and still describing how things are going, says some like this:
" I didn't even pee in my diaper last night!" Priceless!" Lol

In many years I won't even remember what TTR is LOL.

All I'll be interested in is what flavor of pudding I'm getting for my after lunch snack!

Next week and weekend planned already :
    Tuesday 09/08/20 - Wednesday 09/16/20 9 days
IL - UT - TX - WI (NW) then ? - either home ($800-1000) or keep going if good $$$$.$$
    4059 miles (67 - 70 HOS hours) gross $ 8,998.00
    ------------------------
I found @Scooter Jones hourly gauge quite interesting. I never considered working hours as work efficiency measure but it does have some meaning. Frankly, I always log minimal time at shippers and receivers to preserve HOS but I am not certain if awaiting in the sleeper while detained should be counted towards the total working time or not. I think that the total time away from home, including 34 hour resets done away from home would be give a common denominator. After all, we are not spending time in the trucks for pleasure. Yet, it does not mean it cannot be pleasant either.
