Literally 5 hours late every week. Is there anything we can do about it?

If the carrier you have been using is not meeting your service requirements, get a new carrier.
Really about the only choice. When you find a new carrier, make sure you have clearly stated your needs.
While this may not be the case with this carrier, occasionally some things can cause a delay. Weather, major traffic incidents, possibly loading being delayed. When this happens, make it known that you need a call to alert you to the delay.

More details would be helpful? Is this a truckload where you're the only stop? Or are there other deliveries coming off that truck before it gets to you? If the latter, it's a 50/50 chance whether the problem is the carrier being ####ty or the other stops refusing to unload their portions in a timely manner

If it's a multi-stop load, then other customers may be causing the delay.

This is the only stop, and I understand a occasional delay. But it's literally every single week a minimum of 5 hours late.

We had a guy we called on the way ray. Guy had no time management skill whatsoever. Find somebody else or change the carrier agreement to include late penalties.

Are you the shipper or the receiver? Because if you're the shipper you tell the carrier to fix it or you pick up the phone and call someone else.
If you're the receiver, pick up the phone and tell the shipper to fix it or you'll buy elsewhere.
B&*^%$ about it on here won't fix anything.

Are late fees stated in your contract?

IF not, notify the carrier of said changes that will be implemented on XX date and have them sign it or pound sand.

    Farmerbob1 Thanks this.

    Details, we are all guessing.

If you are the consignee, get another carrier.
