Westerns tarps are like 100 pounds a piece. Eight foot drop tarps.

Lol unless you gotta back somewhere tighter than a virgin on Sunday...that's when bumping docks suck lol, snow can be challenging and fun, but I've had enough of it this year. I got my share of snow and ice, north and south..

Man...once you get that flatbed in your system it never gets out. If some years pass and you hadn't done flatbed in a while, it'll take a couple of loads to get that flatbed shape back....I always love to haul coils. I preferred the snap binders over the ratchet ones, but many like the ratchet ones. Western had so many weird loads, that you learned how to secure everything under the sun.

I went to Builders Transportation in Memphis after Western and their tarps were lovely. 70 pounds max, 6 foot drops. They were evolving back to those 100 lb tarps according to a driver there. They joined Daseke, so they changed their tarps and got 53 foot trailers, and a short time after, Hornady bought them out. Those tarps were so light that I could throw them on the trailer, didn't always have to carry them the fundamental way.

Ahh ok, I'm already parked here for 7 am. I've got my hideout across the street from the facility.

Heaven forbid having to drag those big son #####es to the top of a 13 foot load. Those tarps toned me up something serious.
