I would be interested to find out how many of you out there are in companies where their drivers are NOT getting points on their payback cards (or FJ,TA,Petro etc...). I am currently at a company in Central Illinois where we do NOT get points, and only fuel at Pilots....

This to me seems to be one of those mind-meltingly stupid things to do to your drivers, and possibly something where a person at that company would actually have to pick up the phone and talk to someone at pilot and find out just how myh it would save them to do such a thing.

This is also added to by this same company removing the I-Pass from all its trucks, meaning that many drivers are having to take advances, which are charge $1 for, and not always reimbursed that same week.

I guess this is just another way this lovely lovely company takes care of their drivers......:biggrin_2551:

Please name this company so newbies can avoid it . What does a company have to gain by denying points ?
Is your income so pathetic you need advances to pay tolls ? I always have money to pay tolls and get reimbursed for it . Not a problem at all .

How can a company keep you from getting pilot points? I thought anyone could just go in and get a points card. And yes rick we are all aware of you're awesome job and we all suck and you are the king and maybe one day we all can grow up and be just like you!

P.S. Rick, why would the poster need to name the company for the newbies sake? You of all people should know it wouldn't slow the first person down from going to that co. How much negative stuff is posted about most companies yet their classes are full every week? Lol

Sounds like McLeod out of Decatur.

I cannot blame him on the advances, since they try to keep the drivers poor.

I worked for them last fall and left in January. They were truly the worst company I have ever seen.

The APU's were almost worthless. The trucks were almost junk.

rick, its not the fact that my income is so pathetic, its that really dont have the spare money to throw around on their tolls....especially on lanes that we travel each and every day, like the IL Tollway,Indian Toll Road,Ohio Turnpike,PA Turnpike.... I can understand not having a certain pass if you hardly ever use it...e.g. we hardly ever go on the ok pike....but it is ridiculous to expect a driver to shell out sometimes hundreds of dollars up front.

if people are from their catchment area then they would usually know which one it is...and for a small (300 app. drivers) they are on the bad posts rather a lot. Their orientation classes average about 10-15 a weeks, again a high high turnover for a smaller company.

I can narrow a lot of the problems down to one name, but will not name it here!!!! RM I think knows the name....

If you travel the same lanes once you get paid for receipts from the first week you'll have them for the next and so on . So why would you need advances every week ?
