I’ve had to park in a few situations where I was keeping one eye open and listening half the night. But 99% of the time I feel entirely safe on the truck wherever I sleep.

I avoided an encounter with a rude driver just the other day though. I felt the urge to lift the old middle finger up and see where it led but I refrained from doing so.

I was backing into a parking spot to end my day and the overhead clearance was very shallow. Very tight back in situation. I get right into my position and ready to back in and the truck is coming and he can’t get through because I’m in the process of backing. I’m going slow because I’m keeping an eye on the overhead position of the truck. There’s three trucks in my path and the middle one is parked further out than the other two so I have to be very cautious. this guy can only see the truck that’s right in front of me and he starts blasting his horn waving his hand to hurry up and go and telling me you’re clear. From his position I knew he couldn’t see the middle truck that was sticking further out. If I had a listen to him I would’ve took the front end off that truck. So I’m inching it in he’s blasting his horn I’m inching it in he’s blasting his horn. Screaming at me to just go. There’s plenty of room.
It took me a good 2 to 3 minutes to get back in so he can get by and he flipped me off when he went by. I just let it go. I’ve been in a few fights in my day, but as much as that irritated me it just didn’t seem worth it.

A few truckers out there looking to start trouble. Just ignore them.

Except that they're the same states with the high overall crime rates.
