Not really, it's actually pretty straight forward, non-sensical as it is, but it is New Yuck. Why make a carrier obtain something that it won't have to pay revenue on? I dunno. BTW, you cut off the paragraph that started with "Before operating a motor vehicle on the public highways of....."
Sorry just took a screen shot. I was always told if you enter NY you need a HUT permit or you face a steep fine, so I got one. I generally don't run NY unless they offer me big money. Last year I went to Hunts Point and the GW was $105 and it was $30 to go in to the market.... I wouldn't be surprised if it went up this year.
I don't blame you. The last time I ran the Hunts Point circus was back in '89. I can just imagine what that cesspool is like now, no thanks...
Not hostile at all. I didn’t put the info out there. The thread sub forum is “ask an owner operator” and sub thread is “do I need a hut sticker”. I simply stated what I was told. I’m hostile to attacks by folks who assume things. I never argued it was or was not needed. I don’t know and there seems to be a lot of confusion over whether it is needed for NYS Thruway exclusive use or not. Like I said, I get on at PA/NY line and stay on till Mass Pike. Don’t even get off to fuel. How my posts are hostile is beyond me. But if you say so, so be it. Goodbye
