Is Garmin ELD still DOT complaint?

I use Loadtrek for my fleet, they are right out of Madison WI. I dont have any complaints about them. They have everything from tracking, ifta, reports, payroll, everything you can think of and if they dont have it their dev team is right in Madison as well so they normally add any reasonable requests to the system.

 

LMAO !!!!! yup..there app always disconnects from my phone in motion...

One time I noticed it after I had driven 11 hours....but the app said on duty not driving...so I erased and re-uploaded the app and signed out and signed back in....the app said I had 3 more hours to drive...so I kept driving getting as close as I could to next delivery....HAHAHAHA

I was just following the ELD ...I never heard anything about it

 

Sir, some of the Garmin gps will track your IFTA nicely. My JJ Keller eld does ifta but my dezelcam gps is my back up.

The Garmin works all right with the android app.
I simply like the idea of staying in opposition to all that ELD nova business wanting to make money on the ELD mandate.

With Garmin you just pay it once, and you're done.

Question. when you go to Inspection do you see locations(name of towns and distance from towns) under Intermediate logs ?

 

DOT gave me warning after inspection. On logs intermediate logs does not display location. The idea of this ELD is good one but the app has so many bugs and looks like Garmin does not care of it. Another problem is deleting and adding Shipping Docs info. Daily 14 h clock is missing. There is 14 h clock for next day . Why? . I hope somebody from Garmin read app's reviews.

 

Is there a HOS requirement to update the closest location every 1 hour while in transit?
First time I see that it is. How did they code the violation?

 

i compared to keeptruckin logs and i saw that kt shows vehicle location every hour when it is in motion.

 

he did not code the violation. it was roadside inspection in KS and the officer was nice person. He just told me that intermediate logs dont display locations.
