I would concur. I rarely do coils, but those steel edge protectors are a pia. I always knew there was a better way, now I know what it is.

LMFAO. As many of the trucks that have them end up on their sides, I guess it could be used like that if it rolled.

It's part of the Detroit safety package. It's a blind spot warning radar. There's a light on the passenger A pillar that flashes and it will make noise. Supposedly it can even sense a person walking there.

They are getting a little deformed. I double them because of the thin areas. They don't really get much use nowadays which is fine with me. For no more than they are, they are pricey. I definitely don't miss fooling with those metal edge protectors.

    Funny story (to me, anyway).

I first saw those, and they were sitting fingers up on a deck, heel against the coil for practice loading. It was after hours, and I stared at that #### thing for the longest time trying to figure out why someone would pull chains through the coil, through those fingers and then secure them to the deck. o_O The things that make you go hmmmmm...er...HUH? :) When I first saw them I thought they were made of hard iron or something, why else would they be that away against a coil instead of inside it. :)

headed to the Bronx. You know it’s always thrilling when the company guy with the short unit that goes there all the time says “you're ####ed theres no way that truck n trailer will get down the alleyway they unload out of”
If you’re that guy, don’t say #### like that to people

Right about now I bet you are wishing for a 38ft flat with sliding tandems and a 170 inch cabover.
