Anybody have some good tips for taking a road test. I've been out of school for over six months and havn't been in a tractor trailer since.
If you are specifically looking at your road test, don't ever forget your pre/post trip. For your driving, take your time, swing wide and watch your speed. This will help you notice signs and be able to process your surroundings better so you know what actions to take. I have never heard of a time being placed on a road test, only on range test. And whenever possible, G.O.A.L.
Keep both hands on the wheel when crossing RR tracks, it helps fight the urge to shift which would mean an instant fail!
If you have been out of school for 6 mos and haven't been hired yet then you have no worries. No one is going to hire you now any way. Not unless you go back through school. You've been out to long. They have plenty of new drivers who just got out of school in the last 30 days to pick from.
1. Leave your can of beer in the pick-up truck. (just kidding) !!!!!! 2. Good Luck, Relax, Take Your Time !!!!
