Maybe he has bonding issues, or is somewhere on the autism spectrum.

It all depends on what led to you choosing to abandon the truck. Once a company I worked for came and got their truck, on their own accord. I didn't get abandonment out of that deal, and the company was kind enough to delete any record of me ever having worked for them. But really, it is all going to depend on who is willing to listen to why you chose to leave the truck there to begin with. Better stick to companies that don't check DAC. There are plenty out there that don't.

It is what it is these days.. I mean its kind of ended up like this. The days of having lines of people to get in a "drive them trucks" are long gone. I have worked through it all. I have seen some really good prospects have a small screw up and get canned and now it takes a long time and a lot of (wasted) training to even get someone suspended let alone fired. The WORST is when you give a driver the tools (so to speak) to NEVER have the same accident twice.. and they don't go a week before they have the EXACT same accident again. I try to appeal to their professionalism.. they can't even spell that word anymore.

You know what , some of these companies deserve they're businesses to be shut down and the doors chained . I have never abandoned a truck but I tell you what . With the amount of lies , disrespect and disregard to the trucker I have found in the trucking industry it's no wonder that the truck isn't abandoned on a habitual level . Not to say that this is right or should be done but when your screwed daily some people can only tolerate so much . The correct thing to do is take the truck to the terminal hand in the keys and walk out and watch them try and act like they magically care now .

A couple of weeks ago the left rear tire on my truck blew out. So I had to abandon it. But I did came back with a spare. Got it changed out and started rolling again. Even though I came back for it.. Am I still forked? Is my career over like Red Rover? Please advise..

The companies that use DAC are the companies you don't want to work for.
