    I believe he's referring to jerry's post, on how a good antenna will do you more than well, as opposed to the guy that can't get out 1/2 a mile due to a crappy antenna so he thinks "more watts will fix that".

    A good antenna solves many problems If you cant hear them power will do you no good ....

    Very true. However due to height, most truck drivers cannot run the best antenna for a CB, a 108 inch whip. Therefore they have to run the short little firesticks and such...and there's an old saying of "height is might".

    Which is why I believe many truckers run power, because they're trying to make up for short falls of the little firesticks. That or they just want to be 1 up over the next guy who also happens to be running a linear.
