Rears went out while driving

If you have to move it, only move it bobtail. But I wouldn't move it unless you have to. I replaced my rears about 5 years ago, not positive about the time frame. But I got new not reman, the front rear was $2950 and the rear was $2150. I would imagine that they are quite a bit more now.

 

I can't drop the trailer, I am under a load

 

Ok, just take it easy, you don't want it to fly apart and damage the housing.

 

If a Fleet Pride is nearby, I would have them rebuild the problem.

 

I would search for a drain train shop only. They usually get you in and out and they have whatever they need in stock. I wouldn’t do a general shop.

 

I'm going to talk to the owner of the carrier I am leased on to, he has a lot of trucks sitting in the back that are not on the road anymore. I'll see if he has a good rear that I can go ahead and have him cut off and put on

 

Cut off ? There pumpkin set ups…… and you better hope he has the correct ratio.

 

There is a mechanic there that's been doing this for like 20 years, I'm going to have him do it, because if he doesn't have the right stuff, he won't do it

 

Friend of mine has a 07 Cascadia for parts. Guy never showed to buy the rears. They’re available, located just north of Detroit. Don’t know what ratio, 325 maybe? Suspension is Mercedes. Doubt it would be desirable. Does have new air bags, brake cans. New drums are missing, they’re on my Truck now. Lol.

 

My rears are 355. Don't know how that would work. Would the tranny need regeared?
