Yes they are pretty busy. It’s a road hub, not a traditional terminal. Has no dock. It’s a triples terminal.

Believe me when I say this. I will never ever complain about the daily duties of my job again. Not after dealing with this outfit. It was the most humbling experience of my life.[/QUOTE]

This is not a rant but I hope it fits. I happened to read all of your posts since you got laid off in November and felt I must respond. I feel your every emotion of this adventure and my hat is off to you for the lesson that you have, but many have yet to learn. I like you when I was a young man starting out had found it necessary to bump from a number of jobs. Some from my own making and more not of my doing, towboats, railroad, offshore, power industry any where there was an engine involved. I have scraped and chipped more paint, mopped hundreds of acres of decks, hugged screaming pump engine radiators in the winter waiting for the few seconds of warm air when the thermostats opened briefly. All of the other laborious times working to feed my young family while awaiting another good chance is a “humbling experience”.
I am retired now but in my last 25 or so years I worked I never complained of having to do menial stuff, extra work to help, taking one or two for,the team, getting the “shaft” occasionally because I had learned where I came from and rememberd all those times I really suffered as you actually did.
There are a lot of people that really need to learn theses lessons young and they would be much better people, more humble and accommodating I might say. I don’t know you but I am proud for you and the other guys and gals out there that have learned this and I wish you nothing less than the best in the future.

I may see you on 90 in Ohio. Bids come out Monday and I may get bumped into a run over that way.

ABF used to drop the triples in the same yard UPS leased off the Skyway just east of Chicago. I assume that is the grey trailers you are referring to. Good luck in your new job and I hope you like it, they seem to be a good outfit. 78EDB63A-98A3-4DE7-B631-7D0209C5185C.jpeg
