    I don’t know if they still receive Berkshire Hathaway stock or not, but the drivers who worked there 20 years ago likely are doing well! Especially if they bought all the stock they had an opportunity to get.

    Their component pay encourages drivers to complete their runs fast and efficiently. According to that pay info, he only makes $14/hr, with other pay components like case, stop, and miles making up the majority of his checks. Also if you take the hours worked and the number of stops and divide each of them by 14 weeks, it averages out to 39.93 hours and 38.8 stops per week. Seems pretty doable with a four or even five day work week for a driver who's experienced on his route.

    With mostly big chain customers, I assume they can get away with charging them more money for a more premium service.

    I talked to UPS driver out of Jacksonville and he claimed he made $160k last year. :eek::D His first full year driving at UPS too.

    If Jacksonville hired teams in at full pay then it is totally doable.

    Yep apparently they start their team drivers at top pay over there. I was kind of surprised honestly because I thought all drivers start at same pay.

    It is market specific. Chicago hired hundreds of team drivers in a short time frame years ago and hired them at nearly full pay in order to attract that many at once. Louisville who already had hundreds of Teams and only adds a few teams at a time still hires at progression rates.

    My old co-driver just got a 3,000 mile Sunday-Thursday afternoon mileage job with 21 years seniority. He should get 10 hours a week or so in clock time. I am guessing it’s $180,000 ish without any holidays worked.

    They have been hiring for past few years and are still hiring but I heard it’s gonna end soon.
