Where were all the truck stops in Bakersfield ca. I remember Bruces i know there were more. But cant remember where. And the old mobile chemical? Loaded egg cartons out of there
I remember when hookers were hanging off trucks like Christmas ornaments at the old Frogtown truck stop in Georgia
Bruce’s is long gone. About 10 years or so. After several times being sold. A driving school is using the lot for a training range.
Yep, it was, to me, the Best Restaurant in a T.S. in Tucson. The LARGE servings were awesome. Except for the annoying doped up/alcohol infused deviants in the Parking Lot (some of which claimed to be "living on site" in the bushes on the western side of T.S.), it was a nice place for short visits (4 hours and less). Never stayed in the motel, nor got a Truck Wash, nor Parked Up in the Lot overnight. When the Peelot moved in across street (just down from the 7-11), the ambiance reduced. Last time I @ Triple T was 2016, as to MY recollection. CHEERS!!
Anyone remember the Texaco Proam off Pullman road in Amarillo, TX. Always had parking and the restaurant was good. Not sure when it closed down, but as of 2017 part of the building was still standing. Had some great times in that place. The old TA in Amarillo, been closed since they built the new one. The main building and shop is still standing.
That sounds awesome now I don't think I would do it now days but sure would make some food stories lol that's great thanks for the info wish I had been driving then well on second thought I'd probably been in jail alot. Take care be safe and thank you again
I know I'm 4 years late to reply but the Giant in Jamestown NM was AWESOME! The restaurant had a prime rib Buffet on Friday nights if I remember right. They had a real chef come out and trim the prime rib and serve it. Had the full chefs uniform. Big poofy hat and everything. Was a real professional restaurant. Then pilot bought it and put a crappy Dennys in place. A sad day when that happened...
