Ca to tn Amazon load

Hello I need some advice , so I have a load from ca to tn , deliver was for today 6/29 at 1200 at Amazon in Memphis. I arrived to facility to check in for a live unload when I got to the guard shack they told me my delivery appointment been canceled , I’ve been waiting the entire day. My dispatcher told me they’re working on getting me a new appointment , she told me the only appointment available is for 7/5 . That is 6 total days the expect me to wait , plus a whole day getting unloaded at Amazon . What should I do ?

 

Are you a company driver or owner operator with a dispatch service?

 

I’m just a company driver , I just don’t know what to do that’s a lot of waiting .

 

Find a new company.

 

Yes I’ve been searching for a new company for the past month , so what’s your advice , if I wait here what should be a reasonable amount of money I should get paid ?

 

I would seek out whatever financial benefit you can from the company you are currently with and I would spend the time looking for a new company to work for. Having to wait that long is insane.

Yes sir would that be considered detention pay or layover pay ?

 

That's why I pull containers we get detention $75 hr or bring load back and still get paid

 

I'd say a fair rate would be at least $200 a day.
