I found another '82 for sale close by. Less miles than mine but looks like it spent most of its life in someone's back yard and its not running. Perfect for a cafe racer build but the guy's asking about double what its worth in the current condition.

Lotsa dudes gassing their snowmobiles up here.
It was comical. He was wasting zx1000s, 600s.
And he had to kick start it at the line.

There are aftermarket controls that you can put on the handlebars and really clean up the bars. If I were going to cafe one, I would clean everything up, get rid of all the big clunky controls and run a more minimalist look.

I am in the process of buying a 97 RoadKing that is sitting in a buddy’s garage. $2500 and runs good. I want to try to cholo it out. Complete with fishtail exhaust, apes, wire spoke wheels and the little Mexican blanket. Cholo isn’t my style personally but why the Hell not?

I am glad that you are enjoying the wind therapy. Iron sharpens iron.

One day, some shmo is going to try to sell me on plant based BBQ ribs.

“But Six, it tastes like meat!”

    Sounds appetizing.

:biggrin_25513: I got a bean burger by an employee’s mistake once, and since I’m generally a nice guy, I just figured “Hey, how bad can it be?” The answer? BAD! My gut made noises I didn’t even know the human body could produce! For like a day and a half! Eat beef!

Just never thought about it really. Have seen some 2 stroke that were sort of supercharged. That was a bit interesting.

When I was much younger, and building things the went some what fast. The lawnmower engine powered go karts did get modified. Figured out if you took a smog air pump off of certain ford products, changes the pulley on it, you could supercharge them. Worked darn fine.
